A long love story in which feelings for traditional cuisine are renewed every day.
That of Emilio and Bona is a family culinary story that has been preserved over the years, and which has origins in the 1960s in Casoli, a town on the hills of Camaiore, when Emilio, father of Luigi and grandfather of Massimiliano, current owner together with his wife Lucia transforms her small grocery shop above her home into a restaurant. He does it together with his daughter-in-law Bona, to meet the requests of numerous artists who arrived in the small village attracted by the beauty and incredible quiet of the place.
In 1979 a landslide involving the house and the restaurant forced the family to close the restaurant but not to lose heart, so much so that they reopened the business, its current headquarters, in an old renovated oil mill from the 1600s, in the nearby hamlet of Lombrici .
The restaurant created from an old oil mill from the 1600s, with the structures still clearly visible, is located among hills rich in vegetation, on the banks of the Lombricese river. The lush nature and the sweet sound of the stream create an enchanting setting for suggestive and fresh summer dinners on our terrace.
From the moment you enter, the perception is that of entering a place where care and love for the spaces and for their guests is at the center of Emilio and Bona’s philosophy.
Here you can take time for yourself and savor an experience far from the frenzy of everyday life.
In the internal room furnished in elegant rustic Tuscan style it is still possible to experience the atmosphere of the old oil mill today through its ancient structures, including two millstones and a press.
